These are a new product for us and took a little practice for our seamstresses to get used too. These seconds have irregular stitching or are slightly misshapen, but are still perfectly functional. Wool is an amazing fiber! The exterior layer is water resistant while the inner layer (cortex) is water loving. The cortex can absorb up to one-third of its weight in moisture without feeling damp. 3
